1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mon- Fri.)
The purpose of this position is to make and repair equipment in a timely and cost effective manner for any of the Alside plants. This position is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Fabrication of complex finished parts to required tolerances and specifications with minimum of supervision
- Plan and layout work from detailed blueprints, sketches drawing or verbal instructions
- Determine and utilize optimum welding process and procedure required for each application
- Possess their own hand tools for completion of work assignments
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation, maintain job site in neat, clean and orderly fashion.
- Must have experience with Mig, and Tig welding equipment.
- Experience with Stainless, mild steel, and aluminum.
- Improve process and equipment for betterment of the company
- Comply with all Safety Rules and regulations in the performance of duties
- Perform all other assigned duties
Must have a minimum of 4 years of applicable experience in welding and fabricating. Good attendance is a requirement.
Minimum of four years of applicable experience in welding and fabrication
- Knowledge of specific welding processes: MIG and TIG specifically
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications
- Knowledge of industry safety practices
