Summary:

The Welder-PTA Operator performs duties including welding various types of materials with Mig and PTA applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for manufacturing and repair functions in the welding shop.
  • Fabricate downhole drilling equipment, including stabilizers.
  • Experience in applying various Hard Facings used on Stabilizers
  • Experience in repairing Stabilizers
  • Work with management to estimate time frame on welding jobs.
  • Assist in determining the schedule and workflow, ensuring a continuous supply of people and equipment for jobs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, relevant company/customer QHSE requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1 year of welding experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
