Skyline Products has designed and manufactured sign solutions for the transportation and petroleum industries for more than 40 years! During these difficult times, we are still hiring! We are an essential business and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder for our day shift - Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This position pays $18-$20 per hour.


Summary

A Skyline Welder, lays out, fits, and welds/fabricates aluminum components to assemble structural forms.

You do not need to be certified to weld, however, you must pass a weld test, and be extremely accurate in reading a tape measure. Experience or skills in the following are basic requirements. Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.


Requirements

  • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding
  • Lay out, positions, aligns, and fits components together
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG, and Tig welding processes.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
  • AWS D 1.2 Aluminum Certification credentials : not required but preferred
  • Aluminum Fabrication Skills
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Steel welders do not weld on aluminum or require knowledge of such.
  • Pass a weld test, background check, and drug test.
